Watching our Garden Grow

Today, we spent a fun morning at a local garden festival (much more Katie's speed...what with flowers being nice and quiet and all...) Most of the children's activities were themed around bees, so the kids had a blast learning the bee wiggle dance, searching for and counting the bees on all of the flowers, and painting some bee art. Katie and Michael also loved digging with some garden spades and planting maple seeds. (Katie wanted to go back and check on her seed every five minutes to see if had grown into a tree yet.) Finally, they loved the home-made baked goods available at the garden center. As for Traci and Mike? We just enjoyed letting the kids run around, with the sounds of some nice bluegrass music in the background. All festivals should be this chill...
