Well, the pink cast has been on for just about a week now, and everybody is starting to get used to it. Katie has continued on with her play activities as if nothing ever happened. Riding a bike? No problem! Swinging? No problem! Playing with her beloved animal figurines? No problem! She's even getting the hang of some adaptive skills, such as pulling up her clothes and eating more complicated finger foods (tacos, corn-on-the-cob, etc.). It's a good thing that she has always been somewhat ambidextrous. We head back to the orthopedic office tomorrow for a follow-up x-ray, and then we'll hopefully get the all-clear to have the cast off in a couple weeks. Our biggest problem right now? Her arm has a bad case of the itchies!! Any suggestions?

Broken Arm? No Problem!
