We had our good friends Kim, Patrick (5-years-old) and Colleen (2-years) over today so that we could finally give Patrick his birthday presents. (We unfortunately had to miss his super-cool party last weekend...) Anyway, we were pretty excited about the gifts, because Patrick has a new obsession involving airplanes. We found a really cool Matchbox-size set of vintage WWII warbirds on Amazon that we just knew he would love. Sure enough, his face absolutely lit up when he opened the gift. He immediately identified all of the planes and said that he couldn't wait to share them with his Grandpa. And, guess who was following him around everywhere, completely interested in the little warbirds? Michael! Dad, there IS hope for you actually passing on one of your interests to your kids!!
