Such Concentration

After a crazy week of two work trips and extended hours, Mike decided to take today off.  Hooray!!!  We thought it a perfect day to finally dye our Easter eggs.  After making sure that Neve was sound asleep (she gets very whiny when she can't participate in a family activity), we got out the vinegar, dye, and two-dozen eggs for the kids.  Mike was skeptical that we would need so many eggs...silly Daddy.  After dying all of the eggs every imaginable color, the kids were clamoring for more.  They probably would have done 50 each if we had let them.

Just look at that concentration...  The tongue has even come out to aid in his effort.  The best part?  Mommy secretly wrote each of the kids' names on an egg with that white wax crayon thingie that comes in the dye kit.  When the dye "magically" revealed their names on the special eggs, you would have thought that the Easter bunny personally delivered them.  They still don't know how the magic happened, but they were THRILLED!  (If they had just paid attention, they might have seen Traci writing on them from across the table.)  Now we have an egg hunt to attend tomorrow and the big day on Sunday.  Have a great weekend, everyone!
