Dentist? No Problem.

Today was a milestone day of sorts for Michael.  He had his first dentist appointment!  Our past experiences with the dentist and Katie have been FAR from wonderful (think screaming! wailing! squirming!), so we didn't expect much better with our second kid.  As a matter of fact, Big Sis said to Michael this morning (with much drama):  "Michael, I'm so scaaaaaared for you."  (I could have kicked her tiny behind at that moment.)  But, this kid never ceases to surprise us at the most opportune times.  When his name was called at the office, he confidently strode back to the exam area, nestled in on Mommy's lap, and went along for the ride.  No cries, no complaints, nothing.  The only thing that seemed to bother him a bit was the sunglasses (to ward off mouth spray), but he doesn't like to wear much around his face anyway.  He especially loved when the dentist showed him how to use the dental instruments and he got to spray a waterfall in the air with the mouth sprayer.  Thankfully, he had his full set of 20s in, with no cavities.  The dentist's only concern?  His...ahem...lack of nutritional breadth to help healthy permanent teeth develop.  What?  You mean that a diet consisting of milk, crackers, and air doesn't promote good dental hygiene?
