What a special day we had! Not one, but two of our good friends had birthday parties today. We started the morning off with a bang by attending Miss Colleen's (almost 5!!!) Frozen bash. The big treat of the party was the arrival of two very special guests: Elsa and Anna (from the movie Frozen). The two heroines sang for, read to, and thoroughly enchanted all of the kids. Katie, who has moved beyond the Disney princess stage, was absolutely enthralled. I even caught her touching Elsa's dress and checking to see if any ice had formed on her finger!! Nothing like seeing your "big girl" retreat back to the innocence of her past days.
Our second party was in honor of Miss Maddie (almost 4!!). Once again, there were plenty of princess dresses, yummy food, and fun times for all of the kids. The weather was nice enough for everybody to hang outside for awhile before heading in for pizza, cupcakes, and presents. Our two younger kids didn't attend the earlier party, so they were ready to party! They especially enjoyed the present opening time by spilling out the contents of all the new toys everywhere. Sigh...some guests we are!
