The Little Tree

Today we worked on one of our favorite Christmas traditions, the kids' Little Tree. This is a special tree that resides in their bedroom for the season. Our only rule for the tree: all of the ornaments and decorations MUST be made in some way by the kids. Some were made from scratch (usually school projects), some have been painted, some have had stickers adhered to things. Even Nevie got into the act this year by painting one ornament and sticking together a few others. Our current challenge to the little ones: fashion their own tree topper this year. (Our little engineer, Michael, already has some thoughts on the subject.) So that the tree doesn't get too full, we keep a few of our favorites from every year and look forward to the new creations of the year. See how proud the kiddos are?
