Summer's Last Hurrah!

As you know if you've been following this blog, Traci has a really close group of Mom friends here that she has been getting together with since our firstborns were infants.  Here we are, five years later, ready to send our biggies off to kindergarten/first grade.  A bunch of us got together this morning at a nearby lake for one last summer hurrah.  We treated the kids to a train and carousel ride, lots of playground time, lunch and ice cream.  Our kids have literally grown up together so they LOVED bounding off on their own while the moms got a chance to catch up.  We were already trying to organize our schedules so that the second and third kids could continue on with the playdates.  We're all ready for the next chapter for our kids, but we couldn't help but feel a little sentimental about the end of an era.
