Hooray...we've made it to the five-month point of Nevie's life!! And, she has turned such a corner for us. She has transitioned from a persnickety, little newborn to a joyful, curious, playful infant. She has now reached such a bond with everybody in our immediate family that she often starts smiling and giggling as soon as we enter the room. (Too bad she still has the stranger anxiety with everybody else...) She's working hard on rolling over and sitting up, but she really needs to develop some more upper body strength and balance to attain both. She loves standing on your lap or gnawing on your fingers. She also loves bringing whatever she can reach straight to her mouth. (The safety lectures to the big siblings have already begun.) She's still a month away from starting solid foods, but she is definitely getting more interested in what we are doing at meal times. She's an excellent sleeper, waking maybe once a night to feed. She has also started going down more easily for naps during the day. What can we say...she's a keeper! Please take a minute to enjoy some of her giggles and grins for yourself!!
